Privacy policy
Last updated November 6, 2026 · Tovik Inc.
This policy explains what information Tovik Inc. (“Tovik”, “we”) handles when you use the Tovik desktop app and this website, and the choices you have. Questions go to [email protected].
The short version
- Your browsing data, memory files and vault entries are stored on your own computer by default.
- When a task runs, the content needed for that task is sent to the model provider you chose to run it.
- We don’t sell personal information.
What stays on your device
Tovik is a desktop browser. Pages you visit, cookies and sessions, task history, memory files and Tovik Vault entries are kept locally. Vault entries are encrypted on the device. You can open, edit or delete memory files at any time.
What we receive
- Account details — such as your email address, if you create an account or sign in.
- Billing details — if you choose a paid plan; card data is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Support messages — whatever you send to [email protected].
- Diagnostics — crash and error reports, where you have allowed them in Settings.
- Website requests — standard server logs for tovik.dev, such as IP address and browser type.
Model providers
To run a task, Tovik sends the instructions and page content that task needs to a language-model provider. If you plug in your own subscription or API key, what that provider receives is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Vault secrets are filled into pages by the browser and are not sent to model providers.
How we use information
To provide and secure the service, process payments, answer support requests, fix problems, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
- Delete local data from within the app, or by uninstalling it.
- Ask us for a copy of, or deletion of, the account information we hold.
- Turn diagnostics off in Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and describe the change on this page.
